Residential Electrical Services
Safe, reliable electrical work for homes, condos and townhouses in Port Coquitlam, the Tri-Cities and surrounding communities.
BrightCo helps homeowners with troubleshooting, repairs, renovations, lighting, EV chargers, panel work and other residential electrical needs. The work is carefully planned, clearly explained and professionally completed.
Troubleshooting & Electrical Repairs
Electrical problems are not always obvious. BrightCo can investigate concerns such as tripping breakers, outlets or switches that have stopped working, flickering lights, unusual heat, nuisance GFCI trips and other electrical issues.
Troubleshooting time can vary because the cause may be hidden behind finished surfaces, inside equipment or elsewhere on the circuit. BrightCo will explain what is found and discuss recommended repairs before additional work proceeds where practical.
Lighting, Dimmers & Controls
Upgrade the function and appearance of your home with professionally installed lighting and controls.
Switches, Outlets & Dedicated Circuits
BrightCo installs and repairs switches, receptacles and properly sized circuits for household equipment.
Renovations & Additions
Electrical planning is an important part of a successful renovation. BrightCo works with homeowners and contractors on kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and other remodeling projects.
The scope can include demolition-related disconnections, new circuits, lighting layouts, receptacles, appliance connections, ventilation equipment, panel modifications, permits and final testing. Drywall repair, painting and other finishing work are excluded unless specifically included in the quotation.
Panel, Service & Capacity Upgrades
A panel or service upgrade may be recommended where the existing system is damaged, obsolete, full, unsuitable for a planned load or unable to support new equipment.
BrightCo can assess panel condition, available capacity and practical options such as circuit reconfiguration, subpanels, load-management equipment or a larger service. Utility, permit and third-party requirements are confirmed as part of the project scope where applicable.
EV Charger Installation
BrightCo installs compatible EV-charging solutions after reviewing the charger specifications, parking location, panel capacity, cable route and required protection.
Not every installation requires a service upgrade. Depending on the property and vehicle-charging needs, options may include a dedicated circuit, lower charging current or approved load-management equipment.
Ceiling Fans & Exhaust Fans
Ceiling fans must be supported by a box and structure suitable for the fan's weight and movement. BrightCo will not install a fan on an unsuitable box. If the existing box is not fan-rated or securely supported, replacement or reinforcement may be required.
BrightCo also installs and replaces bathroom exhaust fans and other ventilation equipment where the electrical scope and access are suitable. Ducting, roof work and major drywall repair are excluded unless specifically included.
Hot Tubs, Outdoor Power & Portable Generators
Outdoor electrical work requires suitable wiring methods, grounding, bonding, weather protection and GFCI protection.
BrightCo provides electrical connections for hot tubs, outdoor equipment, sheds and approved portable-generator inlet and transfer arrangements. Generator systems must prevent unsafe backfeeding and must be compatible with the electrical system and intended power source.
Customer-Supplied Fixtures and Equipment
BrightCo can often install client-supplied fixtures, fans, chargers and equipment when they are approved, complete, compatible and suitable for the location. Additional time caused by missing parts, defects, unusual assembly requirements or incompatibility may be charged separately.
Customer-supplied products are not covered by BrightCo's product warranty. Troubleshooting, removal or reinstallation of defective customer-supplied equipment may also be chargeable.
Clear Quotes and One-Year Workmanship Warranty
Written quotations identify the included work, assumptions and exclusions. Concealed damage, inaccessible wiring, hazardous materials, unsuitable existing equipment and other conditions that could not reasonably be identified beforehand may require a revised scope or additional work.
BrightCo provides a one-year workmanship warranty beginning on the completion date. Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and equipment supplied by BrightCo. Full details are provided in the Terms and Conditions.
